This College was started as Training School in the year 1947 and
converted to P.G.B.T in 1984. It was a fully residential college. P.G.B.T
diploma was being available from the college. |

This College was Pioneer in this field in West Bengal. This College was in charge of State Institute of Education in 1964. Ultimately the College was converted to B-ED College in the year 1991-1992. Since then the College in offering B-ED degree under the University of Calcutta. Presently (2008) this College is in affiliated to West Bengal State University, Barasat. |
